Reflecting on last week - Sell more effectively by working with multiple stakeholders

Help your customers to align priorities, expectations and plans - Saturday 12 August

Hello Subscriber,

This is your Saturday Daily Sales Reset email. You are not required to read it or respond! You have the choice to wait until Monday.

However, you might take some time on your Saturday to reflect on all you learned and improved last week. This might be a great way to relax into the weekend as you celebrate progress with your Sales Reset!

Let’s look back on everything that you practised. Here’s a summary of our topics from last week:

  • Monday:

    • Topic - Significant buying decisions in business are rarely made by one person

    • Practice - Create your own checklist of your typical stakeholders and their priorities when selling your products and services.

  • Tuesday:

    • Topic - Your initial contact may be unaware of implications for other stakeholders

    • Practice - You can coach your initial contact: “Who else might have an interest in what we’re talking about?”

  • Wednesday:

    • Topic - Your initial contact might be reluctant to let you speak with their colleagues

    • Practice - Prepare “first draft proposals” with your initial contact to engage multiple stakeholders

  • Thursday:

    • Topic - Your proposals should ideally be compelling for ALL key stakeholders

    • Practice - In every proposal, make it easy for each key stakeholder to see what’s in it for them.

  • Friday:

    • Topic - Take care about asking if they're the decision-maker!

    • Practice - Ask people to: “Walk me through the process you and your colleagues will use to consider what we’re discussing. How will that work, and who will be involved?”
