In recent years, we’ve seen the explosion of a new industry called “Customer Success”.
I know that most of the good people involved in the world of Customer Success are genuine in their desire to get things right for their customers.
However, it seems to me that almost everything about the current approach to customer success is about “minimising churn” and “seeking cross-sell and up-sell opportunities”. Most Customer Success Managers are targeted at customer retention and additional revenue achievements.
